Welcome to our blog, and welcome to my very first blog post.....ever, so bear with me! Lately we have been swamped with flip house projects and I haven't had time to start this blog or update the website or Facebook page but here goes:
You may be wondering why I have time to type this online journal entry in the middle of the day on a Monday. The reason is, my little Brooky is home sick from school today and is now taking a nap. Unfortunately, I have nobody to play with and doctor up at the moment. Let's see, what have we been up to? Like I said, we have been working on flip houses (like the ones you see on TV where they buy it sight unseen and fix it up to sell) almost nonstop. Each house is very different but, for the most part, we go in, fix everything, do a quick remodel, and on to the next. It's not real exciting but fills the gaps between our fun projects. Our last fun project was a small remodel in Washoe Valley. We gutted and completely built a new master shower; tiled all bathroom floors; installed hardwood floors throughout all common areas, carpet in all bedrooms, and new baseboards throughout the house; painted the entire interior; installed can lights in the living room, granite vanities with rectangular under mount sinks in all bathrooms, and new granite countertops in the kitchen with a stainless deep sink; installed Velux Sun tunnel skylights in the master closet and spare bathroom, and new appliances in the kitchen. Like any other project, we had some minor problems...wrong color paint and a door ding....but everything was fixed and the finished product is beautiful. The homeowners are very happy (or at least pretend to be for my sanity) and we have all had a nice laugh about it looking back. Each and every remodel project has it's own set of hurdles and, I think, it's our ability to fix them as they come that sets us apart and makes us the best in the business.....wow, that sounded really conceited! Well, on to planning the menu for our upcoming Christmas party and fielding the "how's Brooky feeling" calls from the old lady. This has been fun and, until next time, Mahalo....I better work on that sign off....

Hi Kris: Its me - one of the owners of the Washoe Valley remodel. First off, I am so glad our project was not one of those boring flip projects you did. And, second, we did not PRETEND to be happy, We ARE absolutely happy with the great job you did and are loving every day here. Love the tree house. Looking forward to seeing more pictures of the interior. Also looking forward to seeing the pond!! Had no idea you guys were expecting another baby - congratulations!!!
